Therapeutic Bodywork for Our Transgender Community
Education in inclusion and diversity training are the core principles of this bodywork course, tailored to transgender identifying folks. When we fully accept one another on our own individual paths, without judgement or fear of a personal or physical “difference,” we build stronger communities, connected in equality and unconditional love. This course is designed to offer an education for you as a therapist, on how to properly treat LGBTQIA+ & specifically trans clients. This “treatment and care” is approached from trauma-informed care, and focuses on the mind-body connection as all trauma is stored in our cells and can create systemic health issues. You will learn how to build a treatment plan and maintain relationships with our brothers and sisters in the LGBTQIA+ community while you partner with your clients, their physicians, and progressive organizations to support gender equality and human rights issues facing our communities today.
This course includes the following education and techniques:
· Pre-op soft tissue prep & post-op loss of sensation
